Free Browser-Only Buyer Tool

Compare gummy manufacturing quotes by delivered, accepted bottle.

A low factory unit price can stop being the low-cost option after testing, freight, duty, brokerage, receiving and rejected units are included. Enter two suppliers' actual assumptions below; the calculator does not invent a tariff, fee, yield or price.

Your calculator entries and results are not sent to Sucotond or stored by this tool. If the calculator produces a result, privacy-limited measurement may record only that the tool was used; it contains no supplier name, price, quantity, rate, timeline, input or result. Use non-confidential commercial numbers only. Privacy notice.

Quote Normalization

Use the same unit, scope and destination for both suppliers.

Complete every applicable line. Enter 0 only when a cost is included or truly not applicable; leave an unknown amount blank so the result flags the missing assumption.

Production basis

Use finished sale units, not pieces.

Logistics and import

Use the broker-confirmed basis.
Do not guess an HS classification.

Acceptance and time

Use a supported planning assumption, not a supplier claim.

How the Calculation Works

Separate arithmetic from qualification.

1. Normalize the manufacturing basis

Compare the same bottle count, gummy count, formula scope, package and release-testing scope. A bottle price is not comparable when one quote excludes setup, testing or packaging.

2. Add the delivery stack

Landed cost includes the product price plus applicable insurance, freight, tariffs, taxes and other fees. This tool leaves rates blank until you enter a broker- or authority-supported value.

3. Divide by accepted output

A rejected, held or unusable unit still consumed cash. The accepted-bottle view is a planning sensitivity—not a prediction of either supplier's performance.

Modeled total = manufacturing + setup + testing + freight + insurance + entered duty + import fees + broker + domestic delivery + receiving + contingency
Cost per accepted bottle = modeled total ÷ [quoted bottles × (1 − entered hold/reject/loss rate)]
Evidence Boundary

What this calculator does—and does not—establish.

Use it to expose missing assumptions

  • Which party quotes freight and insurance?
  • Who is the importer of record and who handles FSVP responsibilities?
  • What customs classification, value and duty basis did the broker use?
  • Are testing, inspection, storage and domestic delivery included?
  • What event changes the quote after sample approval?

Do not treat it as a compliance determination

The calculator does not classify goods, set customs value, calculate an official tariff, determine importer or FSVP responsibilities, predict acceptance rate, verify a supplier or replace customs, regulatory, tax or legal advice.

Use the supplier qualification checklist and project evidence register for the non-price decision record.

Sources and scope: The U.S. International Trade Administration defines landed cost as the product price plus insurance, freight, tariffs, taxes and other fees. CBP explains that duty and user fees depend on the commodity, entry and transport mode. FDA states that dietary-supplement FSVP requirements vary with the imported product and circumstances. These sources define decision categories; they do not supply a product-specific rate or compliance conclusion for this calculator.
