Free Browser-Only Buyer Tool

Translate a gummy label target into formula-space arithmetic.

Enter one active target, its documented potency or assay basis, the serving architecture and proposed piece weight. The calculator shows the implied source-material mass and the arithmetic space left for everything else—it does not promise that the formula will deposit, set, dry, taste acceptable or remain stable.

Your entries and results stay in this browser. After a valid calculation, privacy-limited measurement may record only that this tool was used; it contains no ingredient, amount, potency, serving, adjustment, piece weight or result. Use non-confidential planning inputs only. Privacy notice.

Formula-Space Screen

Separate the label amount from the material mass.

Use the exact reporting basis from the supplier specification and proposed label. If potency, assay basis or source form is unknown, stop and obtain the document instead of inventing a percentage.

Buyer-entered planning basis

One material at a time. For a multi-active concept, repeat the screen and reconcile the combined material mass separately.

Use the proposed label basis for the named constituent—not the source powder mass.
Enter the applicable percentage from the material specification or COA basis.
Optional arithmetic scenario only. It is not an approved overage or label claim.
Use the proposed labeled serving count.
Finished piece mass, including the complete gummy matrix.
Source material / serving = declared active target ÷ (documented potency ÷ 100) × (1 + buyer-entered adjustment ÷ 100)
Source-material share = calculated source material ÷ proposed finished serving mass × 100
Interpretation Boundary

The percentage is a question generator, not a feasibility threshold.

01

Confirm the material basis

Identity, potency, carrier, moisture or dry basis and units must match the source document. A standardized constituent amount is not automatically the same as total source-material mass.

02

Budget the whole matrix

The arithmetic remainder must still accommodate the gelling system, water, sweetener, acid, flavors, colors, coatings, other actives and processing needs. It is not automatically usable capacity.

03

Test the proposed route

Mixing, transfer, depositing, setting, drying, release, texture, assay, package and stability evidence decide whether the proposed route is supportable. This tool does not evaluate those outcomes.

Use the Output

Turn the arithmetic into a comparable manufacturer question.

Send the same basis to every supplier

  • Named material, form and supplier specification
  • Declared amount and reporting basis per serving
  • Documented potency or assay basis used in the screen
  • Proposed pieces per serving and finished piece weight
  • Other actives, dietary constraints, package and destination market
  • Which assumptions require bench, pilot or commercial-scale evidence

Do not use it as a dose or manufacturing promise

The calculator does not recommend an intake, approve an overage, determine legal labeling, account for every formulation component or establish commercial feasibility. Negative remaining mass means the entered arithmetic cannot fit inside the entered finished serving mass; a positive remainder does not prove manufacturability.

Sources and scope: 21 CFR 101.36 establishes that dietary-supplement labeling declares dietary ingredients and amounts per serving on the applicable basis. FDA's dietary-supplement cGMP guide frames specifications, production/process controls and testing as separate controls. Those sources support the need to preserve the label, material and production bases; neither source supplies a gummy-load threshold or validates a buyer-entered formula.
